³⁰ When Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, he was very angry. ³¹ He sent men to bring news to Abimelech in secret. They said, “See, Gaal the son of Ebed has come to Shechem with his family. They are turning the city against you.
